Ice Creams and a Coconut shy!
Roll up, Roll up for the Wood Lane Countryside Day
At Wood Lane Countryside Centre in Stannington
on Sunday 20th June 2010 from 11am till 4pm
To celebrate 25 years of Conservation work from Wood Lane Countryside Centre, Sheffield Landscape Trust are holding a Community Countryside Day with lots of exciting activities for all ages.
This free event includes hands on demonstrations of dry stone walling, willow weaving, trug and bird box making and great activities for children of all ages, including a treasure hunt and face painting and a chance to pet the animals from Graves Park.
The entertainment for the day includes something for everyone - 'Loxley Silver Band' will be playing on the Bandstand and other musicians and entertainment will be performing throughout the day. Enjoy a picnic in the lovely gardens or buy refreshments on the day.
An art exhibition, wood turning and silversmith demonstrations add to the variety. Ice creams, a coconut shy and craft stalls should all create a traditional feel to the day, so come along, bring your friends and family and have a great time.
