Wood Lane Countryside Centre lies between the Loxley and Rivelin Valleys on the north west of Sheffield. The two hundred year old stone built Georgian farm is set in wooded wildlife gardens and is a centre for community based environmental work.

The buildings and grounds have recently undergone total restoration. All original features have been kept resulting in attractive workshops, offices and community rooms.

Wood Lane Countryside Centre is owned by Sheffield City Council and is run in partnership with North Sheffield Conservation Group and Sheffield Countryside Conservation Trust

The restoration was funded by Sheffield City Council, Heritage Lottery Fund, South Yorkshire Forest Environment Trust and the Countryside Agency. In 2003 the centre received a countryside award from CPRE.

Getting there:
by bus – number 11/12 to Wood Lane
by tram – a short walk from the Malin Bridge terminus
by car – off the B6076
